The Window Book - signatures from The Arts
The Window Book of St.James' Church holds the signatures of those who contributed to the window project to raise money for the restoration of the church windows in 1961. Many letters were written asking for support in the form of signatures and words of encouragement - many also sent donations. Signatures on this page - The Arts - include: Sir Adrian Boult - a famous conductor and teacher, Sir Harold Nicholson - diplomat, writer and gardener, and Sir Charles Wheeler - President of the Royal Academy.
