Crossing The Line
Crossing the line ceremony on HMS Devonshire - this is a naval tradition for sailors crossing the equator for the first time. The participants go through a series of messy "tests", which may involve, flour, eggs and water. Todays initiations are much less hazardous than in the days of sailing ships.
