Alfred Lawrence of West Lambrook
"Photo of Alfred Lawrence who originally came from the West Chinnock area. He is standing outside Pipes cottage at New Cross. He worked on a farm at Halstock in Dorset and then came to West Lambrook, where he moved into Pipes cottage as it was attached to Hebditch’s farm. He is listed as one of their farm labourers. He is one of my great grandfathers; his daughter Alma Lawrence was my grandmother, who married Tom Pipe. (Son of Courtney Pipe). Alma and Tom lived at Pipes cottage for more than 60 years.
