Beatrice Down nee Lock at Duck Cottage

Beatrice Down nee Lock, right, with a sister and bike, standing outside Duck Cottages, Thorney. Beatrice married Harry Down on 26th December 1915. Harry was killed at the battle of the Somme, WW1, on 23rd July 1916. Their daughter Phyllis Edna Down was born Nov. 1916, so her father never saw her.
